Causes and Effects(Outline) ; FAST FOOD POPULARITY

INTRODUCTION

A) Hook/Attention gather (2 marks)
Fast food restaurants are the most popular choices among all ages. The popularity of the fast food is eventually increased day by day. People all over the world tend to eat more fast food rather than healthy food. 


B) General statement (2 marks)
Fast food is widely known as an unhealthy food because it has no nutritional value and contain lots of fats, sugar, calories and sodium. However, many people do not care about this fact as the food itself taste good and appealing to the consumer's eyes. 

C) Thesis statement (2 marks)
There are more than 500,000 fast food restaurants in the world. The fast food places keep growing every day in order to satisfy consumer's needed. The reasons people frequently eat fast foods are the food is tasty, speed and efficient services and a way to socializing with friends and family.

A) TOPIC SENTENCE 1 (2 marks)
Normally, fast food does taste good. 

1. Supporting point 1 (2 marks)
People nowadays tend to eat food that are tasty, unique and pleasing to their eyes. 

a. Sub-supporting point 1 (2 marks)
Fast food usually packed with fats and sugar, making it tastes so good to eat.

b. Sub-supporting point 2 (2 marks)

Most people cannot deny the fact that fast food is delicious even though they lack of nutrition. The study also shown that 69.2% people agreed that they love the taste of the fast food. 

2. Supporting point 2 (2 marks)
Other than that, influence from media social also could lead people to eat more fast food. 

a. Sub-supporting point 1 (2 marks)
As we all knew, in this modern day people especially teenagers really love to eat fast food rather than healthy food due to influence from advertisement in television or social media such as YouTube, Instagram and Twitter.

b. Sub-supporting point 2 (2 marks)
Therefore, this reason can lead people to make fast food as their favorite food even though at first they do not like fast food as they know it is unhealthy to eat and may give them bad effects in long term.

Summary/Conclusion 
Customer prefer to eat fast food more as the food taste good and delicious.

Most of the time, customer often consume food that have higher fat and calories compared to food that rich nutrition; vitamin, calcium and carbohydrate. Eating fast food daily is not good for health. Unhealthy eating style can lead to many dangerous diseases. For instance, obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. 







C) TOPIC SENTENCE 2 (2 marks)
When it comes to food, everything needs to be done quickly and effectively.

1. Supporting point 1 (2 marks)
Malaysian hate waiting as we always punctual, so it is also the same for the food.

a. Sub-supporting point 1 (2 marks)
When we go to a restaurant we need to wait for half an hour or even more before our food done cooked. People do not like to spend their time on food longer especially when the are in hungry state. Therefore, the fast food is the most favorable choice for those who are in rush.

2. Supporting point 2 (2 marks)
People who work can get their food ready in less than 10 minutes

a. Sub-supporting point 1 (2 marks)

People who work or study love to go to the fast food places. The food can be warm in a short time and be served in few minutes. This will reduces the time cost of purchasing and preparing the food. So they will choose fast food to save time.

Human loves everything be done in short time.

For those who are in rush it is suitable to choose fast food as their breakfast or lunch. The time to prepare the meal and buy it also short so you can eat on schedule and no need to worry you will be late for work.

Fast food places known as place to socialize with friends and family.

1. Supporting point 1 (2 marks)
Fast food is an amazing spot for hang out especially to teenagers.

a. Sub-supporting point 1 (2 marks)
The first thing that comes into minds when your friends ask where to hang out is fast food restaurant. It is comfortable and safer for teenager to hang out there. Other than that, most of the fast food places located near with residential area so it is easy to go there daily. In addition, the colorful design of the restaurant also may attract among all age groups to come to the places as well. 

2. Supporting point 2 (2 marks)
Fast food is suitable places to go to celebrate with your family.

a. Sub-supporting point 1 (2 marks)
Fast food place is popular as place to celebrate an event. For example, birthday party or reunion with a big family. The fast food restaurant also can provide services for an event so it much easier for the family to celebrate it without doing a lot of preparations.

Summary/Conclusion 
Spending quality time together with the loved ones is the greatest gift in life. 

Transitional sentences
Spending time together with friends and family is fun and entertaining. They are the ones who will always be there whenever you need them. No matter, how large or small your family or friends time spent together with them creates lifelong memories.







CONCLUSION

A) Restatement of the thesis statement (2 marks)
In conclusion, the causes that contributes people to eat more fast foods are fast foods taste so good and delicious, the food can be prepared in short amount of time and give people opportunity to spend more time on family or friends.

B) Suggestion and recommendation (2 marks)
Fast food is highly not recommended to eat daily because it can harm our body. The food maybe tastier but it can lead to many kind of diseases such as cardiovascular disease, obesity and cancer. People need to choose what they eat wisely and remember the pleasure of eating good food in good company.
